Extremely hot here every day. Usually there are storms to bring relief but not this year.
I am stitching and taking pics but having problem getting the pics uploaded.
will have to get some assistance.
The new year is fast approaching and new projects and finishing some of the UFO's i have as well.

The little embroidery I did yesterday

Progress on the circles of life embroidery.
The dark blue around the edge will be the frame.
I keep adding more knots to this.....love them knots.

The first box is now full ready to be sealed and posted.
I am having fun with this project.

These are pics of the first items for a fundraiser.
A friend of mine was touched by the pictures of children eating 'mud' biscuits as they were so hungry.
When I heard of this I was also touched.
In a country where we have enough most of the time we can only immagine what it would be like.
I felt the Lord calling me to use the talents he has given me to help these children.
These are the first of the things done.
Round things are dish coths; hexagons are hot stands...then come humbug bags and two key fobs.
the key fobs are hard on my eyes so will not do very many of these.

SEPTEMBER14

I went back into my old pics for these crazy patch items.
These were quickies for a fund raiser tho.
I am going to do some more serious crazy quilt blocks with lots of hand embroidery etc.

I wanted to put a pic of the bag all finished but my puter is not co-operating.

MIRROR WORK MY WAY
These are pics of the embroidery for my bible bag as the embroidery progressed.
As there is much interest in this work I am putting a tutorial together which will be coming soon.
I had fun doing this as the learning curve was steep.

Here is the first piece all finished....was a total challenge.

SUNDAY23rd

This is what I have been working on.

First try at mirror work and my own design...not quite finished yet tho.

Was a real challenge as I only had vague directions.

lot of unpicking at the begginning but still a fun project.

hexagon friday August 7

First decide on the size hexagon you need.

You will need one of fabric to be embroidered

and whatever you want in the middle.

These are the same size.

Choose backing and make it 1" bigger all round.

Choose embroidery or applique or whatever and work that part.

Put all layers together and fold over twice on alternate edges; pin and iron in place.

Turn other edges an sew all down.

add loop or ring to centre of top for it to hang.

Wanted to get sidebars but can't get it to work...LOL
