This page is in memory of my kitty Cleopatra who was my friend and inspiration for 11 years.



Cats figure a lot in my applique and I have designed a number of articles and panels using cat applique.
They seem to take on a life of their own as I work.
Did a commission a couple of years ago. . they sent me pics of the four cats and I was able to do a hanging. That was fun.

good morning from a sunny winters day here in Australia.

These roosters span a twenty year period of applique. the hanging at the top was myfirst applique piece and also the first I designed myself. The burgundy roosters were for an internet friend and done about five years ago.
The nremaining two were done recently and are much mochallenging as the feathers were often in two parts. however I did enjoy doing them.
I like to use unusual fabrics as backgrounds; often it is samples of curtain material that has come my way. The appliques are almost always in silks tho as I like working with the texture and colors of these fabrics.

My right eye has blurred vision today and I don't feel like doing anything.

I love applique . Have done this dragon in three colorways now ans she is beautiful no matter what color she is done in

this is one of the quilts I made for the orphanage in Cambodia.

These quilts are my main sewing project at this time.
